Went on a lunch at Tuesday and the owners were kind and it took around 5-7 minutes to get my food. Platter was $6 in cash only for that day and the food was pretty tasty!! Yams were just right! (Excuse the messy plate, through the bag in the car)

The food is delicious. Most people giving it a poor rating due to having to wait long (because lines are out the door) why would so many people come if the food sucked? Also for $6 your gonna get just enough food to keep you satisfied until you go home. I've had the fried chicken and the shrimps all were good as well as the sides. Please don't go by all the bad reviews most people are unrealistic. If food is $6 and you can't get that anywhere, why wouldn't you expect a balance in the serving size to afford a cost effective platter. People don't think. Again, the lines are indicative of how good the good is.

I've been to Lavish in Chester several times now. I've had almost everything and all the food is delicious. Their potato salad is one of my faves. The inside is very nice. Parking on that block is basically non existing but I've been lucky to get parking right across the street every time. You can also try parking up the street or around the corner of 5th st. My last orders we actually had whole wings vs the wing ding pieces before that. I had 5 shrimp on one of my orders vs the usually 6....I'm guessing you guys improvise if you don't have enough of something on a particular day....I don't like it, but I understand. The seafood salad is another one of my faves but my last order of that the shrimps still had the hard tail left on. That was the first time that happened so I hope that is not a thing now, it's not appetizing in seafood salad. I do think people are delusional to expect big platters for $6. Y'all would give those nasty chinese stores and fast food chains your money for straight garbage but complain about a good black owned establishment that's good for that neighborhood. The majority of the people love their food and that's why they stay busy! If you complain about spending cash only, then you're cheap and must be used to only using food stamps everywhere you go....stick to those places then. Me and mine will continue to support.
